2007 Dodge RAM 3500
Meant for a serious work
Most truck enthusiasts are of the opinion that if you want a nice, comfortable ride then you should go for a Chevy or GMC, if you want a little sturdy cab you must opt for a Ford, but if you have serious work to do there is nothing better than a Dodge RAM. Among the vast updates of RAM models, the heavy-duty RAM was updated for 2003 with styling that distinguishes it from the light-duty truck.
The Dodge RAM 3500 is the one-ton heavy-duty Dodge pickup available in three trims, the Regular Cab, the Quad Cab and the Mega Cab. The Regular cab and Quad Cab trims are available as an ST, SLT, Sport, or Laramie option. The Mega Cab is available in SLT or Laramie options only. While the Quad cab carries the off road TRX option.

Choice of HEMI and Cummins engines
A 345 horse power 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine comes standard with RAM 3500 variants. If you want more power opt for a 350 hp 6.7L Cummins In-line 6 engine. A 325 hp 5.9L Cummins In-line 6 engine comes standard with a TRX4 off road Quad Cab.
The 2007 variants ride three cab styles: Regular Cab, Quad Cab (crew cab), and Mega Cab (really big crew cab). The Regular Cab comes with a long bed only, while the Quad Cab has either a short or long bed. The Mega Cab rides on the same wheelbase as the Quad Cab long bed but pairs an even bigger cabin with the short bed. With the exception of Quad Cab short beds, all RAM 3500s have a dual-rear-wheel axle. The drawback that Dodge trucks have is a low fuel economy. The RAM 3500 cabs hold a fuel tank capacity of 34 gallons that is comparatively less than its competitors.

Work truck look
One glimpse at the RAM 3500 tells you it is a work truck. Its muscular body lines, high ground clearance, big wheels and tires and heavy duty rear springs are all directly modeled to give you great performance when working hard. There are plenty of trademarks that emphasize the Dodge family; the massive grille, the aluminum wheels, body side moldings, and multiple emblems.
The front of the truck consists of a pair of heavy duty tow rings that comes in handy for pulling (or being pulled). A rear of the Dodge RAM 3500 reveals the stiff factory bed-liner that protects the bed from scratches and dings. The tailgate has a towing provision attached under it.

Quiet even while carrying heavy loads
Compared to its competitors, the RAM 3500 is springy and without a rough noise. Taking into account the truck's massive size and load capacity it is surprisingly quiet and gives a decent ride.
On the road it is a quick responsive truck and has a quick acceleration. The double wishbone independent front suspension and the Hotchkiss quality RAM rear suspension assure a reliable drive.
With an impressive towing capacity of 24,000 pound and a payload of 12200 pounds the RAM 3500 is more than capable of handling any type of job.
